So the fantastic
argentumlupine podficced one of my fics! This is the first time someone's done this for me, and it's really exciting to hear my words in somebody else's voice. Also, it is exciting when the characters I'm writing have vaguely appropriate accents, rather than the Australian accent that is happening in my head while I write.
So, if podfic is your thing, and Carmilla (the web series) is also your thing, it is here for your listening pleasure. The original is linked at the podfic, in case podfic is not your thing, or you want to leave me feedback.
In other news, I am writing fic for
pt_lightning , because now I am excited by the idea of podfic, and also because without something to write for very little gets written with me.
In other other news, I am in the middle of reading a long and plotty Star Trek fic, Leave No Soul Behind. It involves an AU wherein Spock and Kirk (and assorted others, but yes, this is shippy fic) are space ambulance officers. I have a RL friend who is very emotionally invested in this fic, and it is indeed well-written and readable, but being only halfway through I can't really speak for the emotional impact yet.
