Discord is doing age verification nonsense

This did in fact already happen to me in Aus, but now it's happening to everyone in the server I run as well.

So I'm crawling back here to vent I guess.

And solicit suggestions for alternative chat options with similar functionality who won't do this to us.

I have no alternatives but I am always glad when people use DW more.

I always mean to come back here because I feel like compared to Tumblr (my social media addiction of choice) Drwamwidth makes me actively engage in the things I want to talk about rather than just hitting reboot and nodding sagely about them.

But then on the other hand if course that's why it's more effort 😅

I totally get that but I post one or two sentence things all the time.

Very glad you have this as a falllback and it's a great community as you know.
