Was 35°C by 8:30am and very windy. It didn't get below 30 overnight. I honestly expected to get to the train station and find the platform abandoned, tumbleweed rolling across the asphalt, and to be told that trains had not run there in 45 years. It felt pretty apocalyptic. =P
Work was very air-conditioned though, so we all brought packed lunches and did not leave the building. I do not love air-conditioning. I feel it's terrible that I should have to wear a jacket when it's 44°C outside. But I guess I understand that an office at that temperature would be Hell.
Girlfriend is working at my work! Boring admin work is much more pleasant in company.

Date: January 26th, 2019 03:56 am (UTC)Lucky you've got aircon at work, but wearing a jacket when it's 44 degrees outside would be so strange. (Tbh it being 44 degrees outside sounds so strange. I think it got up to 39 when I was in Sydney once and that was bad enough.)

Date: January 27th, 2019 03:14 am (UTC)44°C is okay. 44 with that vicious hot wind got a bit much even for me.
