Thank you! My girlfriend is crazy hypermobile (it's a problem; she dislocates a bunch of things and has other issues) but it means I have to remind myself that flexibility achievements for normal joints are still achievements. =P
It's been a slooooow work in progress. I have learnt a lot about what's productive for improving flexibility for me. Turns out static stretching is rarely! (I guess if anyone wants more detail let me know and that's a post for another time, as I'm on the tram.)
Ahaha the reason I'm in bare legs and leg warmers is that I'm in Australia
and it was like 35C (I think that's like 90-something Fahrenheit but who
knows =P ). So keeping warm is not currently an issue.
AHA that makes sense! :D Yeah that is like 95 Fahrenheit I think, which is probably our average summer temp where I'm at in the northern hemisphere. :-) Super jealous of you right now; I hate cold.
That is amazing! I have never been able to do the splits, but I know people who can, and have the utmost respect for the time and effort it takes to get there. Go you!
When I was a gymnast I was super inflexible, and it took me years to manage to do the splits (and even then I could only do them one way, with the right leg facing forwards), so I am incredibly impressed that you got to the point of being able to do this as an adult.
