I reappear
April 5th, 2018 04:17 pm I'm pretty sure 80% of my entries are some variation on "so I disappeared off the face of the earth for some time, but I'm back", but anyway, I disappeared off the face of the earth for some time, but now I'm back.
Here are some random updates:
I have been slowly working my way through Mass Effect 3. My laptop is a small and delicate creature which cannot handle gaming (I think ME2 is about her upper limit), so I must play only at girlfriend's place on her computer. I do not yet like the combat, but maybe I'm just not used to the handful of minor changes they made from 2. And [spoilers] is happening to my favourite lizard man sniper.
I got a new job! I only have a couple of shifts a week (after this week, which has training in it), but the people seem pleasant and the handful of shifts I am getting will fit well into my life.
I was away at Easter with friends from uni. Thanks to Drama, one of our usual number did not attend. I...may type out more about this at some other time, but in any case, his absence did not do the weekend any harm. I discovered that a friend and I had independently planned the same symbolic queer flower tattoo. Neither of us is really game to get a tattoo at this point in our lives (we are both...indecisive and not the best at commitment) but it was an entertaining coincidence nevertheless.
I'm trying to do Camp Nano in this month. I'm starting off a little behind - I have 548 words at the moment, I think. But I persevere. I am as always trying to make myself get writing done.
